Watu Credit provides asset financing services, specializing in loans for mobility and connectivity assets like smartphones, two & three-wheelers, electric motorbikes, and cars. It targets the unbanked and financially underprivileged, providing them with essential financial services. Watu Credit received a $15 million investment from Gateway Partners and a $7 million investment from Verdant Capital. The capital infusion will help strengthen Watu Credit’s position and also contribute significantly to advancing financial inclusion in Uganda.
