Babylon Health Rwanda

Babylon Health Rwanda is a telemedicine company focused on transforming healthcare access and delivery in different parts of Africa. The startup combines innovative technology with the experience and knowledge of experts to improve medical services distribution. 

Locally known as Babyl, the company enables locals to receive medical consultations via their mobile devices. The company has created solutions to circumnavigate the challenge of low smartphone penetration in Rwanda which makes it difficult for a large percentage of the population to access telehealth services. Its solution enables users to access digital health services without using smart devices.

Users only need to call or send an SMS to connect with doctors or nurses on standby and obtain quality telemedicine services. But to access this provision, they must first register via a USSD code on Babyl’s website.

Babyl has partnered with the Rwandan government to digitize the country’s healthcare system. The partnership which will last for 10 years will see the company empower several health centers and improve the way patients receive care in the country. 

Wazi

Wazi is a digital mental health service dedicated to transforming the way individuals access and experience high-quality mental healthcare. The company connects patients with virtual therapy services and professionals.
