2023 World Bank Group Youth Summit Pitch Competition

The World Bank Group Youth Summit in 2023 will focus on promoting local solutions that have the potential to have a global impact. The Summit’s theme, “From the Ground Up: Local Solutions to Drive Global Impact”, reflects the World Bank Group’s commitment to fostering local ownership, knowledge, and solutions as a critical component of addressing global development challenges such as fragility, conflict, and violence (FCV), climate and energy, and jobs and skills.

The Youth Summit’s Pitch Competition is a hybrid event that aims to foster global impact by highlighting effective, holistic solutions across the FCV, climate, and energy jobs and skills themes, leveraging local knowledge and leadership among youth.

Benefits: Connect with global problem-solving experts in the impact space, pitch to potential investors, receive tailored mentoring, and be admitted to the inaugural WBG Youth Summit Alumni Network.

Fashionomics Africa Online Incubator and Accelerator Program 2.0

Fashionomics Africa, an initiative of the African Development Bank, is looking for African Fashion, Textile, Apparel, and Accessories entrepreneurs and businesses to apply for and benefit from the Fashionomics Africa Online Incubator and Accelerator programs.

Each program will last eight weeks and will be available in English, French, Arabic, and Portuguese.

Benefit: Compete for the top two prizes of $20,000 to help your business grow.

International Women Day Conference 2023 Pitch Competition

This conference serves as a platform and beacon for all female entrepreneurs to learn, network, and receive pertinent advice on how to succeed as a female in any industry.

This one-day intensive conference allows female entrepreneurs to network with other successful female entrepreneurs who are strategic and brilliant innovative thinkers; female investors and female entrepreneurs will engage in conversation and form mutually beneficial connections at the event.

Eligibility:

• The candidate must be female.

• Business should operate in Nigeria.

• Business must be ethical and legal.

• A female must own 60-80% of the company.

Benefit: Grants of up to ₦1 million are available.

iF Social Impact Prize for Social Entrepreneurs

The iF Social Impact Prize funds projects that help to improve our society. Your project is eligible if it contributes to the achievement of one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Every year, iF Design donates EUR 100,000 to the best projects that compete for the Prize. Your project must already be established, and you may apply with the same project no more than twice. Student ideas will be rejected.

Benefits: Free application, chance to win €100,000, publication on the iF Design website, and introduction to a global design community.
