St Andrews Prize for the Environment
The St Andrews Prize for the Environment is a major international initiative led by the University of St Andrews that recognises and supports innovative and inspirational responses to environmental challenges, including the climate crisis. It is overseen by the Master of the United College, Professor Ineke De Moortel FRAS FRSE.
Since 1998, the Prize has awarded more than $2 million in prize money across the world to individuals and organisations whose imaginative solutions are protecting the environment and promoting a more sustainable society.
Benefits: Up to $100,000 in prize money.

Jenga Haki Lab 2023
Jenga Haki Lab is a programme that aims to challenge individuals to come up with innovative solutions around preventing or resolving certain justice issues using technology. The solutions are based on a theme that changes every year. We will be running 3 of these programmes in Uganda and Kenya this year focused on crime and land related problems.
The Theme for this round of applications is “How do you use technology to prevent or resolve land problems such as fraud and disputes in Uganda.”
Benefits: Up to €2,250 grant funding for the winners, training on prototyping, HCD, leadership and project management, pitching and presentation, two weeks of product development sprints.

D-Prize Distribution Challenge
The world has already invented products and services to end poverty. Yet we have found many proven interventions with large delivery gaps. Millions of people still don’t have access to basic poverty-fighting tools.
Can you design a new business or NGO that delivers a proven poverty intervention at scale? Submit your design for a new organization that solves one of our Distribution Challenges below. We will award the most promising teams with up to $20,000 USD to launch their new organization wherever extreme poverty exists.
Benefits: Up to $20,000 to launch your new organization.
