She Techs The Future

She Tech the future project aims at building structures to foster female led digital ventures in East Africa from idea generation to first investment. 

The project is implemented by StartHub Africa in partnership with the Business Scouts for Development (BSfD) by the Gesellschaft for Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the Federation of German Industries (BDI) and Sequa on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Enpact doroob program

doroob provides idea-stage entrepreneurs with tailored training, dedicated mentoring, network development opportunities, and access to workspaces and technical resources. That’s in addition to direct financial support of 600 Euros/month for each incubator team member so that they are able to dedicate their time, energy, and resources to turning their ideas into viable solutions.

The first edition of the program will support idea-stage entrepreneurs in creative industries.

Benefits: Business & technical training, financial support, mentoring and coaching, access to workstations and makerspaces, regional landing pad program, networking opportunities.

Boost Up Startup Support Programme

Boost Up is a three-part startup support programme organised by the Southern Africa Innovation Collective (SAIC) in Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia. The programme targets startups that use technology and innovation to solve a societal challenge and are looking for skills that could help them to pitch their business and become more investment-ready. 

The Boost Up series comprises Set Up training events, Stand Up pitch competitions, and the Scale Up incubation programme.

Providus Bank SME Program

ProvidusBank in partnership with Enterprise Development Centre has created the ProvidusBank SME Program to build the capacity of business owners in Nigeria and provide them with the skills and competencies for the development of long-term strategic plans to transform their businesses and drive profitability.

Benefits: Growth, leadership and value proposition training, one-on-one business advisory, access to network of like-minded entrepreneurs.

The Future is Female Mentorship Program

The Future is Female Mentorship Program is a PR and communications mentorship program by C.Moore Media International Public Relations (CMM), designed exclusively to the business development needs of African Tech female founders.

The Future is Female Mentorship Program provides early-stage African female tech founders with insights into PR and communications fundamentals, including creating a communications plan, business storytelling, media relations, and more. The ultimate goal is for PR and communications to support these women in raising the visibility of their startups with multiple stakeholders leading to increased customers, audiences, media coverage, partners, and, of course, direct investment.

2023 GCSP Prize for Innovation in Global Security

In 2015, under the umbrella of its Creativity and Innovation Initiative, the GCSP and its Geopolitics and Global Futures Programme established a prize in order to recognise deserving individuals or organisations that have an innovative approach to addressing international security challenges.

The prize is designed to reach across all relevant disciplines and fields. It is intended to encourage and recognise excellence in contributing to new approaches to enhancing sustainable global security. A broad range of projects could qualify for consideration, including, but not limited to, technological and conceptual innovations, original research or grassroots initiatives.

Benefits: The prize of CHF 10,000, certificate of excellence.
