Founder of the Month: Adegoke Olubusi

Adegoke Olubusi is the CEO of Helium Health, a startup dedicated to establishing a data-driven healthcare sector in Africa and improving access to quality healthcare throughout the continent.

Helium Health is driven by a mission to accelerate Africa’s transition to a technology and data-driven healthcare system by building the necessary digital infrastructure. Their flagship product, Helium Health EHR, is a cloud-based and offline solution for managing health records and hospitals. By digitizing medical records, Helium Health optimizes the storage and accessibility of crucial healthcare information.

Co-founded by Adegoke Olubusi, Dimeji Sofowora, and Tito Ovia in 2016, Helium Health offers a comprehensive suite of technology solutions for healthcare stakeholders. Among their offerings is HeliumPay, a billing and payments solution that enables healthcare facilities to accept payments from multiple sources. Additionally, HeliumCredit provides hospitals with a streamlined way to access instant, collateral-free loans.

With degrees in Engineering & Management from Johns Hopkins University & Morgan State, Adegoke began his career building payment systems at Goldman Sachs, eBay & PayPal. Alongside his work at Helium Health, he is also the founder and Managing Partner of MAGIC Fund, a $40M early-stage global venture capital firm headquartered in Los Angeles.

Adegoke’s achievements have gained recognition, with his inclusion in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2019. He has also been featured in esteemed media outlets such as CNN, CNBC, and Entrepreneur.
