This week’s edition of funding and grant opportunities features initiatives and programs targeted at startups in Africa. It includes grant opportunities specifically designed for female entrepreneurs as well as pitching competitions and accelerator readiness lectures.

FSDH  Female Founders Growth Programme 2023 for Female-led Tech Startups

The Female Founders Growth Programme is an Initiative of the FSDH Women in Business group aimed at fostering investment readiness and scalability in early-stage female-led tech startups. The accelerator program aims to empower participating women founders and businesses, helping them to thrive through access to quality opportunities, networks, and information.

The 6-week program will be fully virtual, and selected startups will participate in specially curated interactive seminars on business model improvement, fundraising strategy development and investor pitching.

Benefits: Rigorous training on financial management and investment readiness, matching with globally acclaimed business coaches, networking with leading investors and VCs, opportunity to get a non-equity startup funding of $10,000.

Call For Registrations: Nigeria Innovation Summit 2023 (For Entrepreneurs, Startups & SMEs)

The InnovationHub Africa and Resources Limited, in collaboration with Emerging Media Nigeria, are calling for startups and SMEs to participate in the 8th edition of Nigeria Innovation Summit.

The Nigerian Innovation Summit is an annual event for stakeholders, entrepreneurs, startup founders and investors to discuss ideas, trends and opportunities around innovations, technology and entrepreneurship development.

The NIS is focused on helping Nigerians embrace innovation and charting a path for digital transformation through the promotion and implementation of emerging technologies, R & D, and investments

Call for Applications: TC Battlefield Kwakol, TechCabal startup competition

TechCabal, in partnership with Kwakol, is calling for startups to showcase their innovations and compete for a grand prize of up to 4 Million Naira.  

TC Battlefield is an initiative of TechCabal that is aimed at showcasing innovations from local startups to a global audience. The initiative aims to forge an ecosystem that fosters innovation, cultivates creativity and facilitates networking opportunities for tech startups.

To participate, interested startups have to complete an online application and submit their pitch deck. The TC team will then evaluate the pitches and announce the winners by 11 October 2023.

Exponential Hub Partners Afrilabs On Ace Your Pitch( For SMEs, Startups and entrepreneurs)

The Exponential Hub Partners is calling for SMEs and Startup founders to participate in its virtual “Ace Your Pitch” meetup program. The meetup is aimed at helping participants learn the basics of raising funding and improving their investment pitching.

Exponential Hub is the Innovation Technology and Entrepreneur Support arm of Simply Exponential Consult Limited. The initiative was developed to assist organizations in attaining set objectives in human capital development and business management.

Participants in the programme will learn how to put together key elements for their businesses, acquire pitching skills and develop confidence to face investors.
