Call For Applications: LG CHEM Global Innovation Challenge 2023

LG Chem is inviting startups and founders with innovative solutions in the fields of Renewable Hydrogen, Carbon Utilization, Circular Plastics, and Sustainable Battery development to participate in its Global Innovation Challenge. 

The challenge is aimed at discovering and supporting solutions that foster growth and sustainability in the mentioned domains. 

Benefits: Opportunity for startups to scale their solutions, access to LG Chem’s global business network, and collaboration opportunities with industry experts and established leaders.

Call For Applications: Meta’s Llama Impact Grants (Up to $500,000)

Meta is offering grants to organizations and institutions that are implementing the Llama 2 solution to impact society.

Llama 2 is an open-source large language model owned by Meta. It was launched by Meta and Microsoft in July. Meta aims to foster the adoption of this product for positive impact by providing grants to not-for-profit startups and other organizations that are effectively utilizing it to drive positive societal impacts.

Essentially, the goal of the Llama 2 impact grant is to identify and support the most compelling applications of Llama 2 for societal benefit.

Benefits: A grant award of $500,000 to winning projects

Call For Applications: NITDA Nigeria Artificial Intelligence Research Scheme Fund for startups and researchers

The Nigerian Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy is calling for innovative startups, founders, and researchers to participate in its newly launched Artificial Intelligence Research Scheme.

The scheme is aimed at exploring opportunities in the AI space and developing a sustainable AI ecosystem in Nigeria. It will provide financial support and facilitate collaboration among players in the industry.  The scheme is open to AI researchers and startups in agriculture, finance, healthcare, sustainability, governance, utility, education, and workforce management sectors.

Benefits: The initiative will select 45 outstanding AI researchers and support them with cash prizes of N5,000,000 each.

Call For Applications: Because Accelerator 2024 (free entrepreneur accelerator program)

The Because Accelerator is inviting entrepreneurs to participate in its accelerator initiative designed to assist them in upgrading their innovative products to the next level. 

The initiative seeks to set up participants and their products/ideas for sustained growth. To achieve that, the accelerator cohort incorporates a 16-week training program covering topics common to startups, networking opportunities for participants, and funding rewards for winners of the pitch event that’ll be held at the end of the initiative.

Benefits: Coaching and mentoring opportunities for participants, networking with other entrepreneurs and startup founders, Cash prizes of up to $100k for pitch competition winners.

Call For Applications: Baobab Network Accelerator 2023/2024 for African Tech Founders ($100,000 Funding)

The Baobab Network Accelerator has launched an initiative aimed at providing funding and capacity development resources for the next generation of tech giants in Africa.

Baobab seeks to invest in early-stage tech startups in Africa. Selected startups for the accelerator program will enjoy a 2 weeks consultation period with the Baobab Network, followed by 3 months of hands-on support from its venture partners. 

Benefits: $100,000 capital for selected startups, an intensive unique acceleration program, and access to a powerful global network for participating founders.

Call For Applications: ChangeMakers Seed Funding Contest 2024 

All early-stage startups and business innovators are invited to apply for the ChangeMakers Seed Funding Contest. The contest is aimed at selecting and rewarding early-stage businesses that are solving social challenges globally. 

This year’s contest includes enticing benefits and opportunities, not only for the winner but also for all the participants.

Benefits: The contest winner will receive $1,500 in seed funding,  they will also receive one fundraising course with Philanthropia as well as a one-year license for startupXs premium platform.
